Olive oil is one of the oldest grown tress in Palestine. It ages 5500years old. The Palestinian olive oil is globally recognized and used at large by word renowned chefs. The olive trees grown in Palestine are free from any use of fertilizer and pesticides chemicals. It is naturally grown all around Palestine. It is well classified as natural and organic.
In this country, its traditional diet consist of olive oil which is identified as one of the most important component of fat. This blessed food product has tremendous amount of health benefits. Scientific studies have proved that olive oil lowers overall cholesterol levels and levels of bad cholesterol without any negative effect on good compounds which prevent self-oxidization of the oil and acts as a preservative. Researches in the University of Munster, Germany also showed that olive oil consumption may protect against many other cancers including cancer of the colon, uterus and ovary.
Traditionally, Palestinian mothers use it as the traditional medical remedies by rubbing warm olive oil on their children’s chest to ease a wide range of illness. To this day, in certain village, new born babies are introduced to their Palestinian roots when they are massaged with pure warm olive oil. Some village elders would still drink shots of cold pressed olive oil in the morning owing to its medicinal powers in promoting good health and longevity.
