There are two types of fishball noodle: thin noodle (known as "You Mee" in Hokkien) and flat noodle (known as "Mee Pok" in Hokkien). As fishball noodle does not contain eggs, it is also suitable for vegetarian consumption.
Fishball noodles are most popularly used to prepare one of our favourite local hawker dishes: the "teochew fishball noodle". The noodle is cooked and served either "dry" (mixed with chilli paste) or soup (soup base is often prepared using anchovies). They are available in packs of 3kg and 5kg.
