Tomato paste is an important food item in many households and is used along with dishes like spaghetti, noodles, rice etc. The manufacturing process of tomato paste includes the selection of the finest tomatoes, followed by a mechanized sorting process. The tomato is then processed using a hot or a cold break operation and screened before being taken to an evaporator. The concentrated tomato paste is sterilized to remove the presence of harmful micro-organisms and flash cooled before being packed into cans.
