English Synopsis
After the divorce of his parents, Aiman lives with her grandfather in the village. One day, his grandfather received a call about his sick younger brother in Kuala Lumpur. During this time, Aiman has never been to Kuala Lumpur and he never knew the face of his grandfather's brother. After receiving the call, his grandfather took Aiman a journey to Kuala Lumpur.
Arriving in Kuala Lumpur, Aiman saw a beggar asking for alms. He gave money to the man. In the process he became separated from his grandfather. Soon, he was robbed by a gang of children who controls the area. He could only save a picture that shows the house of his grandfather's brother. Then he meets an a child beggar, an Indian boy named Raju. Raju was eating and he invited Aiman to join him . As they were eating, they are attacked by the same group of children who robbed Aiman earlier. Their food is spilled. This was noticed by Ah Seng, a mute Chinese boy, whose father is a Chinese noodle vendor nearby. He felt pity on the both of them and offered noodles sold by his father to them. Aiman and Raju initially did not want to accept, but after much persuasion by Ah Seng, they both ate. Later, they told how they came to be there. Aiman was there because he was looking for his grandfather's brother, and Raju ran away from a social welfare centre because he was often bullied by the kids at the centre. Ah Seng invites Aiman and Raju to his father's shop. They both help out Ah Seng's father.
Jarjit is a Bengali managed approximately the same as Ah Seng’s father (60 years old) He is a taxi driver, and often gets drunk everynight and Ah Seng’s father is the one who helped him.They sahred a close friendship. Jarjit is devastated by his wife’s infidelity and his marriage has broken down. One day he voiced his desire to Ah Seng’s that he wished to do some good for someone before he dies. Ah Seng's father did not like Jarjit to talk of death but to Jarjit, everyone in the world will surely die.
Aiman is grieving because he wants to meet with his grandfather and his grandfather is ill. Ah Seng found out and told his father. His father asked Jarjit to help find the home of Aiman’s relative, a task made difficult by the only known source, Aiman’s picture.Their patient searching is rewarded, and they found the house. But their arrival is greeted by the sounds of the Yasin prayers and the presence of many people. Aiman’s grandfather came out. Aiman is so happy to see his grandfather but was too late to meet his granduncle for he has passed away. Aiman wanted his granfther to meet Jarjit but sadly, Jarjit too has died inside his taxi.
20 years later, Aiman, Ah Seng and Raju meet again and recall their lives together. Each is now a success. Ah Seng manages a string of restaurants. Raju is a successful entrepreneur and Aiman is a physician at Hospital Kuala Lumpur.
