Intellectual Property Corporation of Malaysia (MyIPO) is responsible to develop and manage the intellectual property system including patent, trademark, industrial designs, copyright and IC layout design protections in Malaysia. Besides that, it act as agent of the government and provide services in collecting, administering and enforcing payment of charges under the intellectual property legislation.
It objectives are to establish a more efficient and effective machinery for the IP system to promote public awareness programs on importance of intellectual property as well as to provide advisory services on intellectual property. It also is function safeguard the interest of Malaysia in respect of any agreement or international convention to Malaysia is a party.
Intellectual Property Corporation of Malaysia also provides an online service for patent and trademark application and search (PANTAS). This for free service is currently available to individual, agent or corporate registered users.
