Department Of Islamic Development Malaysia (JAKIM)

JAKIM has been responsible to ascertain policies pertaining to the development and advancement of Islamic affairs in Malaysia by fostering and promotion the sanctity of the Akidah and Islamic syariat, JAKIM also has been relied upon to enact and standardized laws and procedures, also to co-ordinate their implementation in all the states. JAKIM also operate and manage Portal e-Halal Malaysia, the portal provides On-line Certification Application, On-line Complaints channel and Halal Status Queries through web directory.

Ministry Of Domestic Trade, Co- operative And Consumerism

Area of responsibility KPDNKK including domestic trade supervision, consumer rights protection, intellect property protection, and registration and business supervision. In conducting this responsibility, KPDNKK legislate and study related policy domestic trade, monitor goods prices need and conduct enforcement activity to create domestic trade atmosphere that is healthy. KPDNKK also responsible in adjusting policy; licensing, rule and related activities industry safety petroleum, petrochemical and gas.

SME Corporation Malaysia

SME Corp, previously known as SMIDEC, started operation on Sept 1. The new agency would assume the role as a one-stop referral point for all SMEs which would assist to facilitate effective implementation of its outreach programmers to SMEs, including convenient access to information, business and technical advisory services, coaching and guidance including skills enhancement as well as financial support and management services.

Ministry of International Trade And Industry

Islamic Tourism Centre

The Islamic Tourism Centres core activity is to facilitate the Ministry of Tourism, Malaysia in undertaking strategic research for tourism policy formulation that will enhance travel and sustainable tourism development of the Malaysian tourism industry. The Centre is to compliment and supplement the Ministry of Tourism, Malaysia, Tourism Malaysia and other relevant tourism organisations in areas devoted to sustainable tourism and serve as an advisory capacity.

Malaysian Herbal Corporation

Malaysian Herbal Corporation (MHC) was incorporated in 2001 as a subsidiary of Malaysian Industry-Government Group for High Technology (MIGHT) to conduct and coordinate activities throughout the value chain to promote the healthy development of the herbal industry in Malaysia. MHC is dedicated to coordinate with all stakeholders at the national level on the overall activities needed in driving the local industry to greater heights.

International Halal Integrity Alliance

The International Halal Integrity Alliance ("IHI Alliance") is an international non-profit organization created to uphold the integrity of the halal market concept in global trade through recognition, collaboration and membership. The global Halal industry is devoid of a significant non-government organisation (NGO) presence or position that can provide accreditation to certification bodies.

Halal Industry Development Corporation

Halal Industry Development Corporation (HDC) is a developmental body that is unique in its own right. The Malaysian government established HDC in September 2006 because it realised the potential of the halal business. It also understood the country’s unique position and strengths would enable HDC to spearhead the overall development of the halal industry. HDC is the only government- mandated company in the world tasked with coordinating and developing the national halal industry.

Federal Agriculture Marketing Authority

The Federal Agriculture Marketing Authority (FAMA) is a marketing agency established by the Government under the Ministry of Agriculture and Agro-based Industry. As the Government’s marketing arm for agricultural products, FAMA is responsible for various marketing activities. Amongst its responsibilities are to set targets and product standards, monitor performance, as well as develop marketing strategies for Malaysian agricultural products.
