FINE DINING EXPERIENCE OF MALAY CUISINE AT THE 39 RESTAURANT
Cinnamon or cassia (kulit kayu manis), star anise (bunga lawang), cardamom (pelaga) and cloves (bunga cengkih) are common spices used in preparing traditional Malay dishes.
At The 39 Restaurant, all dishes are not only served ala minute, but also traditionally prepared making it fresh and true to its taste!
A visit to The 39 Restaurant is never complete without having the restaurant's signature dish-the famous 'Ayam Golek Percik'. It is simply wood-fire broiled chicken dressed with sweet coconut gravy that is traditionally served with white rice.
The 39 Restaurant Executive Sous Chef, Ashar Daud created this specialty with a twist that brings a flavourful taste, unlike the common 'perchik'. At The 39 Restaurant, the chicken is grilled marinated, accentuated with 'chilli solok' or stuffed green chilli, percik sauce and wing bean salad. It is also served with white fragrant rice and local vegetable herbs known as 'Nasi Ulam'.
With an eclectic menu featuring authentic Malay dishes presented in a modern and contemporary setting, The 39 Restaurant provides a pleasant fine-dining experience with an enchanting view of the city's magnificent skyline. Apart of the view, a local band 'Amethyst' is also performing during lunch and dinner daily except on Sundays. An ideal venue to hold business luncheons or a private functions, the restaurant has a maximum seating capacity of 120 persons.
