Al-Amar's Director, Joseph Sabeh Afaki, who is of Lebanese/Italian descent, decided to take Kuala Lumpur by storm by offering diners a truly unique Lebanese experience. "We take pride in serving our customers top quality ingredients. Several of the grains, spices and condiments in our recipes are flown all the way from Lebanon. We take care in choosing ingredients that can match the high standards expected of Lebanese cuisine." Other than serving up famous dishes such as the traditional hot and cold mezzes, grills, salads and desserts, Al-Amar also offers unusual items such as raw meats and Manakich which will stun even the most adventurous palate.

When it comes to the decor, a unique and warm feeling is evoked by the smooth clean lines yet traditional feel of the restaurant with its exuberant scarlet Arabic-styled lamps and chandeliers (which dangle unashamedly from the ceiling), pristine white tablecloths and sumptuous red chairs. This signature theme provides the restaurant with a city chic atmosphere and hints of modern Lebanese flair. The deep and comfy sofas on the spacious outdoor terrace beckon customers to come relax and enjoy a soothing fruit flavored Chicha whilst enjoying an exceptional view of bustling Jalan Bukit Bintang. Occasionally traditional belly dancing and singing performances are held to entertain its bevy of customers.

With an operational and management team at the helm who hail from Lebanon, the restaurant aims to keep its service and standards authentic, a rare commodity these days.
